The Trussell Trust

“The foodbank was there when we really needed it, it was an absolute lifeline.” We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide a minimum of three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis.

You need a referral first. Ring them, or ask a support worker, health visitor or Citizens Advice to refer you.

Their website says: In order to get help from a food bank you'll need to be referred for a food voucher. The voucher is then exchanged at the food bank for a food parcel.

You need a referral before they can help — do not set out without one.
